Country Risk System

The tools constructed with TAC’s support and advice include a wide range of approaches and statistical applications:

• Risk-Scoring tools aiming at giving a simple and easy-to-read snapshot on country risks from the customer’s perspective, usually incorporating industry, contract or political / social issues that are specific to the customer’s activities in developing countries.


• Risk-Ratings or Early Warning Signals, based on more complex approaches and giving a comprehensive and customer-specific assessment of risks taken in a set of developing counties or emerging economies.


• Specific counterparty risk measurement tools derived from country risk measures and treated to provide risk ratings on sovereigns, the corporate sector or the banking / financial industry, and possibly incorporating customers’ internal data.
